Overview
Services include ensuring the safety and well-being of children that are in care. It is the responsibility of the Agency and the worker to ensure the emotional, spiritual, physical, educational, and medical needs of the children are being met. This includes keeping children connected to their family, culture, and their community. Children in care are provided with a cultural plan, opportunities to have community visits, participate in land-based activities and ceremony. Additionally, the workers work closely with the parents to keep the children connected to their family and work towards reunification. When children remain in care beyond 18 years of age, workers plan and prepare them for successful transition to independence.
